MISSION STATEMENT

THESOUNDS.SPACE, formely know as Husa Sounds; exists to amplify boundary-pushing artists, ideas, and communities shaping the future of sound and culture. Rooted in editorial storytelling, events, and cross-continental collaboration, it spotlights voices that move scenes forward rather than follow them. As it evolves into an educational platform, the mission expands to transferring real-world artistic knowledge directly from active creators to emerging talents through workshops, residencies, and immersive programs. The goal is to build a living ecosystem where media, education, and experience merge, empowering the next generation to not only participate in culture, but redefine it.

With the community now based in Dahab, Egypt, we imagine a new platform that will serve as a hub for artists and labels with likeminded ideas, exploring the concept of international educational retreats in Dahab. Using the Soundscool moving studios as a creative base, artists from around the world are invited to come learn, exchange, and create alongside our community in an immersive environment shaped by nature, sound, and collaboration. An artist residency program and a limited number of invite-only tickets will be made available soon.

BACKGROUND

The platform was was founded by Adam Hussein in 2012 in Montreal as an online magazine and event platform dedicated to spotlighting forward-thinking electronic artists and emerging scenes. What began as interviews, features, and curated mixes quickly grew into real-world gatherings and collaborations with respected venues such as Piknic Electronic, Stereo Montreal, and SAT. Over time, it developed into a cultural bridge connecting artists across regions, building a reputation for thoughtful curation and community-driven storytelling. Today, Husa Sounds is evolving beyond media into a wider creative ecosystem that includes events, releases, and educational initiatives designed to support the next wave of artists.

Since its early days, Husa Sounds has always had a strong editorial arm rooted in interviews that dive deep into the culture behind the music. Rather than focusing only on releases or trends, it has consistently explored the stories, processes, and perspectives of artists shaping their scenes. These conversations have become a core pillar of the platform, creating a living archive of voices that document how sound evolves across cities, generations, and movements.
