What sparked your decision to Montreal for Berlin, and what was the most challenging aspect of the decision?

I felt a deep calling; Berlin’s free spirit and underground scene captivated me when I first visited in 2016.
Music has always been my everything, guiding every step, so moving in 2019 felt natural.
I started university, kept working in music marketing, and began DJing.
The hardest part was starting from scratch, with a lot of ups and downs, but I came with purpose and music as my anchor.
In the end, Berlin’s international community embraced me, I felt like an alien who’d finally found her planet.
What one thing from Montreal would you bring to Berlin, and vice-versa one from Berlin back to Montreal, and how do you feel about the move so far?
I’d bring Montreal’s laid-back kindness to Berlin, and take Berlin’s no-phone-in-clubs policy back, plus the ability to buy alcohol after 3am 😄
Berlin really brings out your most authentic self. If you stay open-minded, it challenges you but also lets you shine.
Being in Europe has opened so many doors, and I’m deeply grateful for my upbringing, the people back home, and places like Stereo Montreal that shaped my raver education.

What advice would you give to anyone who feels like they need a major change in the environment?
Trust your intuition. You don’t need to have everything figured out, but having some kind of plan and passion helps. Do your research, ask questions, and ride the wave.
How has Berlin’s scene reshaped your sound since arriving?
The roots of my sound are still in old-school hip-hop and jazz; the lifestyle, the attitude, the idea of art as resistance, which feels more relevant than ever.
Berlin’s melting pot of cultures, its club scene, and the talented local artists constantly inspire me.
I now explore deeper, more intricate soundscapes where emotion and groove are always at the forefront and constantly evolving. It’s a spiritual thing.
Can you walk us through the story behind your latest Zapped Records release?
Annina and I’s B2B chemistry inspired a FLINTA VA release on Zapped Records’ Club Mates Vol. 5 for Women’s Day, spotlighting female producers worldwide.
Our track 1-800 Party Operator is mischievous, deep, and playful, born from a festival gig, with a late-night vocal hook that I wrote and performed. Working with Annina has been truly inspiring.
What new tracks or projects are you dropping soon, and how do they reflect your Montreal-to-Berlin journey?
I’m diving into production, collaborations, vocals, and curating community-driven events with Zapped.
From playing piano and singing as a kid to working behind the scenes in Montreal, Berlin really helped me find myself as an artist.
The best part has been connecting with like-minded people—the scene feels global, like we’re all on the same wavelength supporting each other.
